I thought this was interesting... "Do you believe in ghosts? I don't, didn't, oh I don't know. I have seen the original photograph (left), I scanned it for this page, but I still can't make up my mind. The photograph was taken by friends of a colleague, Grant Wilson, in the living room of their house in Yeadon, North Leeds, England. They were taking photos of their nickable gear for insurance purposes. Grant tells me he was present when the photo was taken and there was nothing on the screen as the TV was turned OFF, they had the shock of their lives when the pictures came back from the developers. Grant assures me this is 100% genuine, although he expects nobody to believe him. I'm not sure if I do, I'm a complete sceptic when it comes to ghosts, the paranormal and all that sort of thing, but I have got to say I am fascinated by this photo, and if it is a fake, it's a very good one. But how can we tell if it is a fake or not? the screen has the dull grey look of a switched off TV but the reflections and glare from the camera's flash only make it harder to tell if it's on or not. I did wonder if someone had applied a little double exposure to the print, but Grant tells me the face is on the negative as well, so that must rule out any tom-foolery by the photo processing company. So if it is a fake then the TV must be on, but is it? "

I don't think it's real. I think it's freaky enough, but it looks as if the tv is in fact on. There seems to be more going on around the face, not so much more of a picture but that the screen is pushing it's own light, not just a reflection of the camera.
It could easily be a documentary about someone on a history show or whatever. That's what it looks like to me. But whether it's real or not, it's still freaky!

You can see in the TV on the right where the flash was from the camera, but look at the left, there seems to be alot of reflection, or something there. I'm with you, I think the TV is on.

A hallway filled with TV's like that would be a killer Halloween haunted house prop. I'd definetly have to change pants afterwards.

Yeah, I think this was a history show on some people from the Civil War or something. I have heard of people catching stuff in a tv though. But of all the pictures I've ever seen involving things like that, none were this clear. I call hoax on this.

I'm Sorry I am going to have to disagree with everyone. Randi, I believe that photo is genuine. Why? because I have 3 photos very simuliar to that right now. A man and a woman... a infant... and a young boy. All 3 very vivid... all 3 taken while the tv was on. All 3 with the same back ground. I know exactly what programs were on when the photos were taken. Nothing even remotely like what showed up on the photos. I feel this is an area that people need to start examining more closely. Why does the TV have to be off? Is it mirely because its easyer to prove that way?
Note: 2 photos were taken moments apart. The 3rd... monthes later.

Hi Again! I don't think the TV has to be off, in fact with ITC communications the device has to be on. I have seen a few pics before that have been captured during this form of communication and they come out great. However, with this particular picture, when I blew it up there were things happening in the background, other people dressed similarly etc, that would lead me to think it was a program. I would LOVE to see the pics you captured though! I have just recently started working with this for of communications and find it fascinating!
